Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
When we overcome and endure the trials and temptations of this world, we will receive the crown of life. Jesus took upon Himself the crown of thorns or the crown of death on the cross and gave believers the triple crowns of life eternal-of a king,priest and prophet. The triple crowns symbolize a victorious life of faith. The crown of thorns symbolize the sin,the pain, the agony, the fears, the anxiety, the guilt, the sorrows of the world.
As kings,we are given power and authority to decree things to happen on earth and to take steps in faith to counter the pain, the fear,the guilt and the sorrows. As priests, we offer worship, thanksgiving and intercede on behalf of the rest of mankind so that each will be saved like the sheep that is caught in the thorns of life. As prophets, the Lord confides in us what He is going to do. Prophecy means not foretelling but forthtelling – that is, it includes proclaiming any word from God whether it be an instruction, a reminder, an exhortation, a warning or a prediction.
All these three aspects are necessary for us to be like Melchizedek, the king of Salem who was also a priest and a prophet preceding the coming of the Messiah and one of the types of Christ that foreshadowed Him in the Old Testament. The word, “ blessed” means to be lifted up, to be placed in favour with God. It is not the same as “ happiness” which depends on happenings or external circumstances.

Word to strengthen you in times of weakness
Uni-verse 243/10,000 For better through verse
Dan 10:19 And said, O man greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong. And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.
Like Daniel, we too are esteemed by God. We are each called, “ beloved of God.” When the Lord speaks to us through His Word we are greatly strengthened. His Word gives us nourishment and strength not to fear sin and evil, not to fear death, not to fear that we will be dishonored, not to fear mishaps or mischance, not to fear punishment and not to fear people and forces who are bigger or stronger than us.
Stimulating fear is the modus operandi of the enemy of ours souls. It robs us of our peace and keeps us form being joyful in the presence of the Lord. Fear can manifest as disquiet, worry, anxiety, depression or anger or shades of all this at different times in our lives. Since we are greatly loved by our Lord, we can be secure in the arms of the Lord as a child who has been weaned and rests on the shoulder of her mother.
In place of fear, the Lord speaks peace into our lives. We should experience palpable peace in our minds and hearts, peace in our relationships, peace in our decisions and actions, peace even in troubled times, peace about our past, present and future. We must silence the fears in our lives and allow God’ s peace and love to reign and rule over us. For fear is debilitating while peace is empowering. We must let God’s Word strengthen us with grace to fill the gaps in our natural strength. Once we have been strengthened, we will like to hear His Word again and again to renew our strength supernaturally from day to day.

U 137 The Elect of God
Uni-verse 137/10,000 For better through verse I Peter 1 v 2
1Pe 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
We are not the elite but the elect of God. We are not selected by God on the basis of our personal goodness,ability or merit but we are elected by God. That is why Scripture uses the distinctive word," elect". The person who mentored me used to say, " God has voted for you, the devil has voted against you, your vote determines whose side you are on." God has voted for us at the very beginning of time, before even the foundation of the earth and before we were formed in our mothers' wombs. He has chosen us in His foreknowledge- this is predestination but not predetermination as our casting vote determines how we will live on earth and where we will spend eternity.
God entered into a personal relationship with man whereby if we choose to be obedient to all His commandments we would fulfill our God-planned destiny. But despite knowing these truths even the best of us are unable to obey all His commandments and we fall short of reaching God's glorious goal for our lives. Our nature and our earthly compulsions compel us to cast a vote against ourselves. The Devil tells God, " Look your precious creation has failed in abiding by the very rules you have set for them. Now, they belong to me." It is two votes against one with all the votes equal. Now, the Lord knows there is only one way of redeeming us or purchasing us and that is sacrificing of His own Word, His own Son - a member of the Trinity. A new covenant or sacred agreement will replace and fulfill the requirements of the old one. The children of men will still have to vote for themselves by just believing in the terms of this historic and history-changing agreement. Our belief in the atoning power of the blood of this Heaven-provided blemishless Lamb would be reckoned as complete obedience. Now, it is the work of the third member of the Trinity to make us holy and blameless so that the reality would agree with the ideal. Our responsibility as the elect is to co-operate with the Holy Spirit in His ministry to us.
The gateway is Christ Jesus. The path is the Holy Spirit. Our destiny or destination is God like all rivers, great and small end up in the oceon. The gateway opens up into vistas of grace and peace. Grace are the blessings that we do not deserve while peace are the curses that we deserve but God has protected us from on account of our faith in the blood of Jesus. As a sign of our continuing faith, we should sprinkle the blood of Jesus on our bodies, our minds, our families and all that we own and do. No wonder the Holy Spirit revealed," Your home is a blood-zone." As the elect of God, we can pray that both grace and peace be multiplied in our lives. This will fulfill our earthly and divine destinies, glorify God and enable us to obey the first commandment of God to man," Go forth, be fruitful(spiritually) and multiply(spiritually)." Let us go forth into another day, let grace and peace be multiplied in our lives, our families, our profession and our ministry.

U 131- Healing
Uni-verse 131/10,000 For better through verse Jeremiah 33 v 6
Jer 33:6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.
The Lord wounds and heals, smites and binds up. He is Jehovah Rapha- the One who heals. We all have our bruises in our lives- things that have hurt us in spirit, mind or body. But, the Lord sends His Word to heals our wounds, however deep it is. He promises to cure them completely and lead us through the process of healing into a greater revelation of peace and truth. We should experience peace like a river, always flowing through our hearts, minds and in everything we say or do. We should experience the dynamic of righteousness like the waves of the sea, always moving in us, swelling and falling like the surf of the sea.
Holistic health is a blessing of the Lord. Holistic health means health of spirit, mind and body. Our spirit should be at peace with God. Our mind and senses should perceive His truth hidden in His Word. The Holy Spirit reveals these hidden truths of the Word and when we apply these truths in our lives, these become the Balm that heals our hurts and deep wounds.
A couple of years ago, I fell ill with some severe pain in my legs. As I prayed, the Lord answered," I have heard your prayers and seen your tears. I am healing you and will not let you be afflicted again." Sometimes, the Lord takes us through afflictions so that we will experience greater intimacy with Him, so that our faith will increase. At such times, we can say with the Psalmist," It was good that I was afflicted that I might learn His holy will."
